PROFILE       Dr.G.Balasubramanian was graduated from coimbatore medical college coimbatore in 1988. After completing post graduate training in orthopaedic surgery from the university of Bangalore he obtained Diplomate of National Board from National Board of Examinations of India.       In 1995, he went to United Kingdom and worked in many Internationally renowned orthopaedic centres including The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt orthopaedic hospital at Oswestry, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital at Birmingham, and The Hartshill orthopaedic centre. He had excellent training in Joint Reconstructive surgeries especially in Knee replacement and Hip Resurfacing . While he was working in Oswestry with Professor Richardson he involved in Autologous Cartilage Implantation, a new technique to prevent Arthritis. He was awarded fellowship (FRCS) by Royal college of surgeons of Edinburgh in Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery after successfully completing intercollegiate examination.       Dr.G.Balasubramanian currently working as Knee replacement and Hip Resurfacing surgeon at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital Coimbatore, South India. He is one of the national teaching faculty involved in teaching and demonstrating Joint Replacement surgeries to other surgeons. He has been invited to places all over India and overseas countries to give lectures and perform live demo surgeries on Joint Replacement. He organised a Hip Resurfacing conference during which he performed live surgery to demonstrate other orthopaedic surgeons. Recently he performed live surgery in kaulalumpur Malaysia to train Malaysian surgeons. Dr. G. Balasubramanian has done so far more than, 310 Knee Replacements 225 Hip Replacement and 340 Hip Resurfacings.
